Hector Torres' Bio

Hector Torres is a family nurse practitioner based in Gainesville who graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida in May 2019.  He previously worked at Landmark Health, a division of Optum at Home, providing home-based medical care for geriatric patients in New York City.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Hector was a critical care registered nurse at UF Health Shands Hospital, with extensive experience in both surgical and medical intensive care.  He met Della at a primary care conference as a student and was inspired by her enthusiasm for providing a great patient and provider experience through direct primary care.
